Cooling Tower Water Treatment

In an increasingly competitive market place, power producers are seeking to capitalize on cost saving opportunities. One of these opportunities is to re-use cooling tower blowdown water as boiler feedwater. ZENON's integrated membrane systems are ideal for this application. Instead of discharging the cooling water, many plants have diverted the flow to a ZeeWeed® process tank where the membranes produce pure water to feed the RO. This results in minimum to zero discharge of cooling circuit water, savings in thermal energy costs, and reduced water consumption.
